Curtis, Denielle and Geordan!

yesterday i was at work, minding my own business when i got a call from Geordan’s daycare.   i was worried, of course, but Ms. Toya said don’t worry i was just calling because Geordan is having a bad day and I needed to bring him some clean underwear and pants.  Of course the one day i don’t check his bag there is not enough cloths.

so i take a break from work to go bring some clean cloths. luckily my house and the day care are only one mile away from work.

When i get there i went to Geordan’s room and there he was getting up from his nap sitting in peed up underwear, no pants.(he was loving it to).  So i apologize to Ms. Dottie and she said that Geordan is having a bad day.  i apologized again for not packing enough cloths , and she says thats not what i mean.  she said that Geordan was being bad.  Ms Dottie LOVES Geordan. She always dotes on him and never once has said he was bad.  she then tells me not only is he saying no to everybody.  he refuses to acknowledge her.  then, the kicker, he threw his socks in the toilet!  who does that? not Geordan. he never puts things in the toilet.

I don’t know what was up, but when we got home he was of the chain. running around like a mad man. ………. IT begins the terrible three’s………….aahhhhhhhhhh

I just wanted to write a little about how fast the time flies! Geordan is huge. he is not a baby anymore. This past week we had to go to the doctor for an awful cough (we stayed up till 4:30 in the morning watching Finding Nemo, so i thought the doctor was a good idea). The Doctor was so excited because Geordan is finally at normal weight. I wake up every morning and am just amazed at how big he has gotten. It makes me a little sad. on the other hand i am so excited, because he understands things now. we have started talking about Halloween, Santa Clause and his birthday! I think the end of this year is going to be the most fun because Geordan

can enjoy these special occasions. I started looking into Pumpkin Patches. I will take tons of Pictures if we get to go and post them ASAP! HE is also very smart.(i thank Curtis for that). We have full conversations……sometimes i have no clue what he is saying, but what are you gonna do he is only two. He also yells at us now when we do something wrong. for example Curtis just threw a ball in the house and Geordan said “Stop It Daddy!”

and he wagged his pointer finger! he is so great. He also Knows our first names. he has a hard time with mine, but tells everyone that daddy is Curtis. its great cause Curtis hates it….heehee! anyway thats all i got for now!

Denielle woke up this morning to catch Geordan sitting at the foot of our bed with his firetruck, my chewing gum and the charger to my phone. The way our house is designed, he can walk into our room if we don’t put the gate up or close our door. But last night, every time I woke up, he was in our roomm playing on the floor. LOL. We might need to secure our door at night and put his gate up so that he doesn’t leave his room.

It’s been a busy summer and we’ve been guilty of blog neglect. Here’s what we missed:

Geordan was student of the month in May!

Back in April, his teacher did an assessment. Geordan did overall pretty well. We’ve been working on the things he didn’t do so well on… like Math readiness and toilet training. We’ve been diaperless for a month now. Geordan now wakes up from naps to go potty! He’s only wet the bed one time.

He recognizes people he met months ago and remembers their names. He can count and is trying to read. He also says NO a lot… thank Uncle Tim for that.

Well, tomorrow, we send Geordan to school with big-boy undies on. I’m sending 6 pairs along with 6 pairs of shorts. That’s how the daycare assists with potty training. It aint the way I wanted to do it, though.  We’ve been doing the potty at home. I’ve gotten him to use it occassionally. But it’s break time. Tomorrow, we go cold turkey.

Today we did family photos!! Finally the whole family was here! well the Odeh-Podraza-Earl’s were! Keri and Forest were not here. Poo on them!!

It has been a Great vacation so far. we haven;t done that much, but i have really enjoyed the time i have spent with my family> The Best part is that Curtis came this time!!

These are pictures from Geordans Graduation. I guess I should have posted them before.

Here are pictures of Geordan’s walk to school. Geordan’s preschool is close enough that it’s faster to walk than it is to get in the car and drive. There’s a little path which cruises by tennis courts and such.

Geordan graduated from 2 year old preschool yesterday. I’m not even going to talk about the insanity of having a graduation for 2 year olds. But it was cool. Geordan crinkled up his diploma. i didn’t get a chance to video tape it. The ceremony started at 4:30, I got there right at 4:30 and they’d already sung their songs! I’m an awful parent. But there was food and drink and kids running all over the place. I’m not entirely sure the children even knew what was going on.

Funny thing happened, though. The Air-bubble-jump-thing went down. All of a sudden, the generator went off and the house came down. Some parents were pissed because kids continued to jump on each other. But I think they were stupid because kids jump all over each other without the benefit of a giant bubble.

We’re moving next week. Denielle and I sealed the deal. I took some photos.
