Curtis, Denielle and Geordan!

It’s been a busy summer and we’ve been guilty of blog neglect. Here’s what we missed:

Geordan was student of the month in May!

Back in April, his teacher did an assessment. Geordan did overall pretty well. We’ve been working on the things he didn’t do so well on… like Math readiness and toilet training. We’ve been diaperless for a month now. Geordan now wakes up from naps to go potty! He’s only wet the bed one time.

He recognizes people he met months ago and remembers their names. He can count and is trying to read. He also says NO a lot… thank Uncle Tim for that.

These are pictures from Geordans Graduation. I guess I should have posted them before.

Here are pictures of Geordan’s walk to school. Geordan’s preschool is close enough that it’s faster to walk than it is to get in the car and drive. There’s a little path which cruises by tennis courts and such.

I finally cobbled together some sort of consultation page for my web development work. Next, I’ll work on business cards. YAY. Check it out at http://c-netconsulting.com.

I believe we’re going to NY on Friday. We’re going to get to meet Baby Mason! Geordan’s just getting cousins all over the place.

Now lets test out this new image upload-thingy I put in last week. More Pics! Some of the are before Geordan’s last haircut and some are after. And there’s one of me playing with my new camera.

We’ve kinda started potty training with Geordan. He’s been telling us for a while when he was dirty or wet. But I’ve never thought he was coordinated to handle his piece. Handling your junk is a huge part of potty training. So we got him a potty and urinal. Things seem to be ok. He’s managed to make it to the potty in the middle of number 2 a couple of times. I’m counting those as victories. He just looked up and said ‘Potty’ and broke off at a run up the steps. Sure enough, he dropped a load. Victory.

He’s not quite as accurate with his pee-pee though. We’ve gotten him to pee in the potty 1 time. Every other time he grabs his crotch and says potty, it’s over before we can get up the steps and in the bathroom. *Sigh* we have time. I’m sure he’ll be using the bathroom on his own by the time he turns 6.

Denielle is going out of town to some drill next week. Just me alone with the baby for 4 days. I feel sorry for him because that means he’ll have to get up at 5am with me. We gave it a test run this morning and he slept until I set him down in the Daycare.

Anyways, thats it. If any of you ladies would like to come up for 4 days and be a surrogate Mommy, I’m down with it.

Well, a lot has been going on and we ust haven’t had the time to put it all down. this is the quick catch-up

Denielle - is still asst manager of her store. She’s looking to be promoted this year, maybe. We’re not ure, but either way, she’s doing a good job. She was gone like 6 weeks, which sucked by the way, to various military trainings and 2 trips to New York. She also just cut all of her hair off. We’re still waiting to develop the photos.

Geordan - is developing into quite the stinky little baby. He also made it thru the first sound of some baby contest. It was really a sort of kid modeling agency. It was no big deal, all we did was walk up to some overly pretty male. He looked at Geordan, told us our little boy had ‘Sparkling Eyes’ and gave up a slip to return to the management meeting. Denielle went to meeting, but they wanted $300 the next day to sign. needless to say, we walked away. But knowing what I know now, I’m going to find a way to raise the cash. Maybe we’llput a donate button on the side bar of this site.

Curt - i’m with a telecom working in tech support. I mad team lead in 3 months and i’m training for management.  Thats all i can say about that. Not much else to report. Keep your eyes open for more later

i love being a dad. i find m son to be the most beautiful thing i’ve ever touched with my bare hands. he’s walking his bow legged, toe-first walk. sometimes, he forgets and starts crawling again, but he stands up when i ask him. now he’s trying to feed himself. i’m not sure why i chose to give his toast with black raspberry jam. that might have been an err in judgment.

Geordan is walking! i’ve only got video on my phone because Kenyatta has our camera. stay tuned! i think Geordan may have destroyed the toilet. it was stopped up and maintenance found a washcloth that resembles a set we own.
